Ever since Mink died, my mom has been constantly online looking for young Greyhounds or even puppies. She didn't have much luck finding anything. She did find a few things but either the puppies were too expensive or couldn't be shipped. Joe (step dad) actually wanted a puppy because then we would have it for a longer period of time. So in the end we didn't have any luck finding puppies, but... my mom found this lady in Long Island, NY who has a bunch of Greyhound show dogs. She sent my mom baby pictures of some of the dogs and told us about a certain one named Petey. He is a year old and is a black brindle. His puppy pictures are absolutely adorable!! Well it turns out that he's not too crazy about showing so she wanted to sell him to a good home. Luckily my mom found her and they started to talk. She sent us new pictures of him and he's gorgeous. My mom talked to her on the phone the other day and the made the final plans. We can have him!! All we have to do is drive to this dog show somewhere near Syracuse on Sept.25 and we can pick Petey up!

I'm looking forward to having another dog in the house, especially a Greyhound. Personally I think that they are the best dog. They are very gentle and sweet and become part of the family. I can't wait until September!
