Big, Bad babysitter

I started a temporary part time babysitting job yesterday. I am watching a kid named Branden and he's about 10. I will be babysitting Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Atleast it gives me some sort of money each week. I will keep this "job" until I find a full time "real job" or start school. Yesterday was awkward. There is a guy that lives in the basement but is in the process of moving out. He was there yesterday and it just made it really weird. To make things even better, Branden totally ignored me and wouldn't say a word to me. He spent the whole time downstairs with the other guy. I was extremely uncomfortable and I hate those kind of situations. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I know that things will get better eventually but it's hard to wait. His mother told me that he will soon break out of his shell. He's just shy and quiet with new people, I guess. I'm also hoping that the guy moves out soon because it just makes it really weird to have him walking around. It will also be hard for Branden to get used to me when he spends his time downstairs. Oh well I guess I will have to see how today goes. I hope I feel more comfortable with the situation and that it goes by fast, haha.
